The corrugated steel water tank is a high – efficiency water – storage device. It is made of high – strength steel plates, which are precisely rolled into corrugated profiles and then assembled by bolt connection. It is suitable for various scenarios such as agricultural irrigation, municipal water supply, and fire-fighting water storage.
Material and Type
- Material: Mainly includes galvanized steel and zinc-aluminum steel. Galvanized steel water tanks are affordable and rust – proof through the zinc layer. Zinc – aluminum steel water tanks have stronger corrosion resistance, as aluminum forms an oxide protective layer, and they have a longer service life.
- Type: Including steel dome – roof water tanks, which are fully enclosed and suitable for drinking water storage; open – top water tanks, which are suitable for scenarios such as aquaculture where water needs to be taken frequently; PVC – roof water tanks, which can protect water from dust pollution and are often used for agricultural and industrial water storage.
Structural Features
- The corrugated structure increases the stiffness and load – bearing capacity of the steel plate. Thinner steel plates can be used to achieve high strength, reducing costs.
- It is usually equipped with a concrete foundation to ensure the stability of the water tank. The interior can be lined with food – grade waterproof cloth, PVC and other linings to prevent direct contact between water and steel, ensuring water quality and enhancing anti – corrosion performance.

- Material specifications: Galvanized steel can adopt the Z275 standard (275 g/m²), and zinc – aluminum steel can adopt the ZMA275 standard.

Installation and Maintenance
- Installation: It needs to be installed on a flat and solid concrete foundation. Assemble the corrugated plates according to the instructions, pay attention to sealing. Install the lining to ensure no wrinkles and leakage, and finally carry out a water pressure test.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the zinc layer of the galvanized steel water tank, and repair it in time if there is any damage. The zinc – aluminum steel water tank requires relatively less maintenance. Regularly check the overall condition of the water tank and the integrity of the lining, and clean up the sundries in the water tank.
